Autumn Air

'Autumn Air' was commissioned by a beginner piano student who wanted some Satie-inspired chamber music to play and study. The brief was for a pastiche work, only using basic keys which a beginner would be comfortable playing in. The result is a piece in C, which only significantly passes through G and A minor.

The piece was written in late October 2016, and takes inspiration from walking through the vivid autumn colours and crisp, chilly air at the time.
